Welcome to the Floral Shoppe

I am obsessed with the new Floral Shoppe collection from Graphic 45. I have always being a fan of floral papers for my projects, so as soon as I saw this collection I knew it was gonna be a favorite of mine. Looking at these gorgeous images brought me so much inspiration that in no time I had several projects lined up right away. For the first, I knew I had to create a real Floral Shoppe miniature box with an album to match, in order to give due justice to the papers. Here is the completed project:

floral shop album

The album was made out of chipboard and then covered with black cardstock. I started with a simple rectangular shaped box, then I added the awning, door and the window display. The fabulous papers from the collection brought it to another level.

I used paper roses from Recollections and fuzzy cut images to decorate the box. I also made the Floral Shoppe sign with my Silhouette and used different stickers from the collection to complete the decor.

I made a set of floral containers for the front of the store using black cardstock, then painted them with my watercolor paints to create a patina effect. I then added paper flowers and fuzzy cut images as a background.

The display window and the door were super easy to do just using cardstock and clear acetate. I used a sticker from the collection as a welcome mat and printed a miniature sign to say: come in, we’re open!

I wanted the box to be pretty, but functional too! It actually houses an entire album to hold photos inside. I created an opening flap and used  a magnetized closure to keep the album secure.

For the album I also used chipboard and then went crazy using fuzzy cut images from the gorgeous flowers. I used a wood frame from Michael’s which I painted gold. Later, I want to put a photo on the inside of the frame.

The album is interactive with lots of pockets, flaps and inserts to add interest.

I wanted the papers to be the main attraction in the album. For this page I created a waterfall insert, and used the papers and stickers to decorate.

But I could not resist fuzzy cutting the images and using them in the different inserts of the album.

It was a lot of fun trying to mix and match the different floral patterns from the papers. This collection is definitely a must buy.

I’m hoping that you liked this post and that it brought you lots of inspiration. See you soon with another project!
