Graphic 45 Sunkissed Summer Mini Album

Summer is finally here! The temperatures are rising, school is out, vacation started and there’s nothing better than spending a nice sunny day at the beach or by the pool with a nice refreshing drink. To document all the fun of my summer adventures, I created a fun mini album using the new Graphic 45 Sun Kissed collection.

This new Graphic 45 collection is simply stunning. The blue, green, orange and yellow colors are just perfect for summer.

For the cover, I used the signature page from the collection. And of course, I had to modify it by fuzzy cutting elements and creating my own background with different mediums like paints, gessos, distress inks, sand texture paste, and glitter to create the illusion of the bottom of the sea.

I also added to the cover different florals from the Recollections brand, netting and twine to make a 3D effect.

I wanted to use a small corked vial from Tim Holtz that I filled with glitter and added the “message in a bottle” printed sign. I thought that this was such a fun element.

I used burlap fabric on the side of the album for decoration. I also used a combination of different ribbons and a little sea horse charm from Hobby Lobby.

For the construction of the album, I used chipboard for the outside and the hidden binding system for the interior pages. For the closure, I used a vintage gold button and elastic thread to the keep the album secure.

The final size of the outside cover isĀ  7 x 9 1/2 inches and the inside pages are 6 1/2 X 9 inches.

Making the inside of the album was the easiest part. The papers combine so well that you can create pages in no time.

I made lots of inserts and tabbed flaps to add interest.

I loved fuzzy cutting elements from the paper collection to create pockets to hold inserts for my photos.

I made frames using the papers from the collection. To make them sturdier, I used chipboard for reinforcement.

They are mostly decorated with fuzzy cut flowers from my favorite papers from the collection. The images were impossible to resist and I had to fuzzy cut them all!

I had a blast working with this collection, and I am sure it is going to be filled with awesome memories from this summer.

Thank you so much for reading. See you in the next post!
