Hello everyone, I am still in full Summer mode and wanted to share a quick project for you using the amazing By the Sea collection from Graphic 45: A double cascade folio with a pop up page.
This is my third Summer project this year, but this time I wanted a simpler one that would not take me a long time to make, especially now that I want to spend as much time outside enjoying the sun.
Using chipboard and papers from the collection I created a fun folio that stores tons of photos. I was inspired by a metal anchor that I found in the Target dollar spot. I thought that was the perfect touch for this nautical inspired collection.
To create the cover I took a mixed media approach and used different mediums and papers from the collection. As closure for the folio I dyed seam binding in different shades of blue to match.
For the inside I made three different flaps. First opening has a double pocket with two different photo mats.
Second opening has cascade flaps in both sides and a center page with another double pocket.
Any combination of the papers from the collection will give you gorgeous results.
The center pocket has a hidden pop up page underneath, I made this just for fun.
I pop up the image of the two kids playing in the sand and used other images to create a beach/ocean scene.
I was pleasantly surprised at how many photos I was able to fit in this easy to make folio.
I still have one more Summer project to share, before starting with Fall/Holiday projects. Stay tuned!
